So, I am here to ask you Ryzen enthusiasts whether I should let this program install the AMD SATA/AHCI driver which seems clear to me is not intended for Ryzen but has been reported to increase performance or leave it alone as AMD clearly made the decision to leave it alone and I don't know why.Из-за ограничений, введенных для борьбы с распространением коронавируса, настоящий бум переживают сервисы обучения онлайн. A user reported installing the AMD driver for 8.1 as his Samsung 850 Evo software said that it would not be fully operational without the AMD specific drivers installed and he found his RAW transfer/IOPS speedsincreased slightly. It seems that AMD has opted to keep the default MS drivers from 2006 in place for Windows 10 where they have drivers for 7 and 8.1 which install with the AMD chipset driver package. I went on the old Google conduit toobulator and read a bit on the subject. I found this strange as I ran the latest AMD chipset driver which clearly decided to leave this driver in place rather than install an AMD one. What it found was an updated AMD SATA/AHCI driver which would replace the standard Microsoft driver from 2006. Today I decided to install IO BIT Driver Booster 5.1 Pro to see if there is anything I missed and needs upgrading driver wise. The difference is maybe 30-40MB/sec faster each way using my Intel chipset laptop versus my AMD chipset desktop.

I have noticed that my transfer speeds using the same hardware as my Intel based gaming laptop are slower on the Ryzen build (Samsung 850 EVO external 7200RPM drive). I didn't install any drivers from Asus for my ROG STRIX B350-F Gaming motherboard (yes, I updated the BIOS before I installed Windows) and went straight to the latest chipset drivers from AMD (17.40) and installed those.

Feels good to be back! 6 cores, 12 threads 3.8ghz for $250 CAD - WOW!

I recently put together my first desktop in over five years and am happy to say I am FINALLY back in the AMD CPU camp as I love the company and what they strive for although I always buy the best bang for the buck hardware and as a gamer it has unfortunately not been AMD for a long time.
